We took a drive into the city of Pittsburgh today and saw some amazing views. The traffic was horrible. It took about 30 mins to drive into town. We spent the evening driving around downtown and had a nice meal at Tin Angel. We finished the night off with: Black Forest Filet ( a char-boiled filet mignon stuffed with pitted black cherries drizzled with bearnaise sauce), a veggie boat (filled with pickled baby eggplant, artichoke hearts, carrots, peppers, etc.), and my gluten free/dairy free dessert of lemon sorbet. J and his parents had walnut balls (homemade vanilla icecream rolled in walnuts) and strawberry cheesecake. Those looked delish! Check out our view from the restaurant. The yellow seats you see in the left of the picture is of Heinz field where the Steelers play.

Here’s a cool picture of the Incline ride we took before dinner. It’s an old railcar that takes you down a side of the mountain to show off the nice view of the city – ”rickety” is how J’s Mom describes it.
It’s an experience, but for 3 mins one way at $2.25 per way, it costs an arm and a leg! Also, you don’t even get the option of walking back uphill so you have to pay another $2.25 for riding back up the same way! We had a laugh about it, but it was a rip off. When you’re in Pittsburgh, and are pondering if you want to ride the Incline, I say you should pass it up.
