Elephants and Gluten Free Pizza in Deep Creek, Maryland

The morning started out rough, we left Houston at 6am and landed in Pittsburgh at 2pm. We had a quick lunch at Cracker Barrel and hopped back into the truck to go to the mountains in West Virginia. What an adventure! I slept throughout both plane rides, so I felt refreshed and ready. We made a pit stop at Uno Restaurant, Bar and Grill. They had a pretty view of the lake while we dined. I had pizza! It’s been a long time since starting my gluten free and dairy free diet. The pizza wasn’t so bad, but it didn’t taste as good I remember pizza to be. I forgot to take a picture of it to show the folks at home, sorry! By the way, I climbed that huge elephant…with J’s help. I had a tough time getting down, but he took care of me then too. My dear husband to the rescue…

All in all, it was a nice drive, we had a pleasant dinner, and made it to the cabin before dark. We’ll be checking in with you guys soon!
