My hair was in need of a trim badly. I hadn’t had a haircut since we left Washington and I knew I had tons of split ends. We did a bit of research and decided to go to Andres Olmos for haircuts.
He’s a short subway ride away and we didn’t have any trouble finding the salon. We got there early and was surprised that they were already open.

We both received a shampoo, haircuts and a blow dry. Andres spent quite a bit more time on me because I have tons more hair than J.
He cut my hair exactly the way I wanted.
I asked Andres to “thin out my hair” and he didn’t quite understand what I meant so I had to point to the thinning scissors to get my message across. He gasped and said, “Oh, you want to reduce the volume.” I never thought to explain it that way.
Here’s the man in action:

The salon uses only organic products so it was pretty neat. I don’t color my hair but he uses organic dyes as well. Andres did put shine serum in my locks and blow dried it out. My hair hadn’t looked that good in a long time.

The cuts at the salon were extremely reasonably priced. In fact, it was probably the least expensive of all salon trips that we’ve ever been to.
I had a great cut, the staff and Andres are sweet and friendly people, and it was at a great price. I would definitely come back in a heartbeat.
